Growing up, I was fascinated by the lives of ordinary individuals whose contributions to society were significant yet rarely recognized. I felt compelled to give voice to these experiences through writing.

• What genres, themes, or subjects do you prefer to write about, and why?

Author: I am particularly drawn to fiction that explores social realities, cultural traditions, and the lives of communities whose stories are often overlooked. My writing frequently focuses on themes such as human dignity, resilience, identity, social justice, and the complex relationship between tradition and modern society.

• Was there a particular book, author, or incident that influenced your decision to write?

Author: Rather than a single book or author, it was a combination of life experiences, observations, and encounters with people whose stories deserved to be told that influenced my decision to write.

• What challenges or obstacles have you faced in your writing journey, and how did you overcome them?

Author: Like many writers, I have faced several challenges throughout my writing journey. One of the biggest obstacles has been balancing the demands of research, professional responsibilities, and personal commitments while finding the time and mental space to write consistently.

Every challenge became an opportunity to grow as a writer. It taught me patience, discipline, and the value of staying committed to a purpose. The journey has not always been easy, but it has been deeply rewarding, especially when readers connect with the themes and messages conveyed through my work.

• Can you recall a memorable moment or incident related to your writing that deeply impacted you?

Author: One of the most memorable moments in my writing journey occurred while researching and writing SHAVUNDI: AN UNTOLD VEDA. During my interactions with some people of the Brahmin community, particularly those engaged in traditional priestly and funeral-related duties, I was deeply moved by their stories of dedication, sacrifice, and resilience. While some sections of the Brahmin community enjoy social and economic stability, I encountered many individuals who had endured years of social stigma, misunderstanding, and financial hardship despite performing essential services for society.

What impacted me most was their quiet dignity. They carried out their responsibilities with sincerity, devotion, and a strong sense of duty, yet their contributions often went unnoticed or unappreciated. Listening to their experiences reinforced my conviction that their story deserved to be told. Their lives, struggles, and unwavering commitment became a powerful source of inspiration and strengthened my resolve to document and preserve their untold narratives through my writing.

• What message, thought, or emotion do you try to convey through your books or poems?

Author: Through my books and poems, I strive to convey empathy, understanding, and respect for the diverse experiences that shape human lives. I believe that every individual and community has a story worth telling, and my writing seeks to bring attention to voices that are often unheard or overlooked.

I encourage readers to look beyond stereotypes, question preconceived notions, and develop a deeper appreciation for the struggles, sacrifices, and contributions of others.

• Which of your writings is closest to your heart, and why?

Author: Among all my writings, SHAVUNDI-AN UNTOLD VEDA holds a special place in my heart. While each of my books is meaningful to me, this work is particularly significant because it gave me the opportunity to explore and present the lives of people whose stories have long remained unheard and misunderstood.

The book is the result of extensive research, observation, and reflection. During the process, I gained a deeper understanding of the challenges, sacrifices, and resilience of individuals engaged in traditional funeral and priestly duties. Their experiences left a lasting impression on me and strengthened my conviction that their contributions deserved recognition and respect.

What makes this book especially close to my heart is that it goes beyond storytelling. It seeks to preserve a part of our social and cultural heritage while encouraging readers to look beyond stereotypes and appreciate the dignity of every individual, regardless of their profession or social standing.

• If you had to describe your identity as a writer in one line or belief, what would it be?

Author: “Every life has a story worth telling, and every story deserves to be told with honesty, dignity, and compassion.”

• How do you see yourself evolving as a writer in the future? Are there any upcoming projects or genres you wish to explore?

Author: As a writer, I see myself continually evolving by exploring new perspectives, deepening my understanding of human experiences, and refining my craft. Every book teaches me something new—not only about storytelling but also about society, culture, and the complexities of human nature.

In the future, I would like to explore a broader range of themes and genres, including historical fiction, social drama, and stories inspired by lesser-known cultural traditions and real-life experiences.

I also hope to experiment with different storytelling techniques and formats while staying true to my core belief that literature should inspire thought, empathy, and meaningful dialogue.

As for upcoming projects, I am currently exploring ideas that continue my interest in preserving untold stories and highlighting the lives of individuals and communities whose contributions often go unrecognized.

• What advice or message would you like to give to aspiring writers or readers?

Author: My message to aspiring writers is simple: “Write with sincerity, patience, and courage. Do not be discouraged by self-doubt, criticism, or the challenges that come with the creative process.”

My advice to readers is simple: “Every page offers a new perspective on the world. Keep reading, keep learning, and keep growing.”

My advice to non-readers is: “Spend less time scrolling social media and more time reading. Social media may entertain you for a moment, but books can educate, inspire, and transform you for a lifetime.”

Finally, I encourage everyone to cultivate the habit of reading. If possible, aim to read at least one book every week. We often hear the saying, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” I would add: “A book a day keeps stress away and enriches the mind.”
