  1. How did your journey as a writer begin? What inspired you to start writing?

Author: Unlike many writers, I didn’t grow up with a lifelong passion or hobby for writing. In fact, until about a year ago, writing was never on my radar as something I’d pursue. My journey began quite unexpectedly and rather recently. It was less about a gradual build-up of an old hobby and more about an emergent passion that took hold with surprising intensity. I was deeply inspired after reading “The Alchemist” and maybe that was the time when the seeds of motivation were sown.

  1. What genres, themes, or subjects do you prefer to write about, and why?

Author: “Keeper Of The Forgotten Feelings” is my debut literary work, a collection of short fiction. I write contemporary literary fiction and reflective prose centered on emotional memory, belonging, and healing—because I’m drawn to the quiet moments that shape who we become and what we feel. Through my writing, I hope to offer readers a sense of recognition, a quiet acknowledgment that their most personal feelings are universally understood.

  1. Was there a particular book, author, or incident that influenced your decision to write?

Author: That’s a question I love because my answer is a bit unconventional. The truth is, my decision to write wasn’t sparked by a specific book or author, primarily because I was never an avid reader myself. While I respected literature, I often felt like an observer looking in, rather than a participant. Writing, for me, didn’t begin as a desire to tell a story to others, but as an urgent need to translate my own feelings into something tangible. It was a private act of trying to give shape to the formless. When I finally started putting words on the page, it was a revelation. It wasn’t about emulating a style I admired from another author; it was about excavating my own. The process wasn’t about entertainment; it was about clarity.

  1. What challenges or obstacles have you faced in your writing journey, and how did you overcome them?

Author: Every writing journey is punctuated by its share of challenges, and mine has certainly had its moments. There were days when I questioned my abilities, wonder if my stories are worth telling, or feel like I’m not a “real” writer. This led to procrastination. I tackled such situations by setting up targets and celebrating small wins to keep myself motivated. Moreover, connecting with other writers, joining a critique group was another effective method which worked for me.

  1. Can you recall a memorable moment or incident related to your writing that deeply impacted you?

Author: My most defining moment as a writer wasn’t a public celebration, but a deeply private and challenging period while drafting this book. I was living alone and navigating a significant illness, a time of profound isolation where my world felt very small. The turning point came when the boundary between myself and my protagonist completely dissolved. I wasn’t just inventing a character’s struggle for strength; I was actively channeling my own quiet, desperate fight onto the page. Writing their resilience became an act of my own, and their hope became my genuine reason to keep going, both in the story and in my life.

  1. What message, thought, or emotion do you try to convey through your books?

Author: I am a storyteller who writes from lived experiences and unspoken emotions, transforming ordinary moments into stories that resonate with the heart. I write to remind people that every feeling—especially the quiet, forgotten ones—deserves a home, and that healing begins when we name what hurts and cherish what still hopes.

  1. Which of your writings is closest to your heart, and why?

Author: In my book “Keeper of the Forgotten Feelings,” the chapter “Before the Lines Were Drawn” affected me the most; both the story itself and the process of writing it were intensely emotional. Both the story content and the creative process behind it profoundly affected me as a writer. I won’t disclose much about the chapter as it is one of my bests in the book…. hahaha.

  1. If you had to describe your identity as a writer in one line or belief, what would it be?

Author: As a one liner – I’m a listener first, a storyteller second.

  1. How do you see yourself evolving as a writer in the future? Are there any upcoming projects or genres you wish to explore?

Author: Right now, I’m actively working on ideas for my next major project. There’s a strong possibility that my next undertaking will be a full-length fictional novel, which I’m excited to explore in depth. This project will allow me to expand my storytelling capabilities while delving deeper into emotional narratives that resonate with readers. I’m interested in exploring historical fiction. These genres offer rich opportunities for character development and storytelling innovation, which I believe can enrich my writing style and appeal to a broader audience.

  1. What advice or message would you like to give to aspiring writers or readers?

Author: You don’t need a childhood passion for writing, and you don’t even need a clear plan at first. If you feel a spark or an idea, dive in and start writing. Don’t overthink or wait until everything feels “ready”—just begin, even if it feels sudden or unconventional. Writing is a journey, not a destination. It takes time to develop your craft, so be patient and continue to write regularly. Also, don’t be afraid of feedback, as it’s essential for growth and improvement. Seek constructive criticism from peers or mentors.
