  1. How did your journey as a writer begin? What inspired you to start writing?

Author: My journey as a writer truly began after completing my Master’s degree in English Literature. While I had the foundational knowledge from my studies, the inspiration to actively write came from a deep desire to use my voice to address significant social issues. I started by crafting small, powerful write-ups focusing on subjects like domestic violence, using my writing as a means to explore and highlight these real-world concerns.

  1. What genres, themes, or subjects do you prefer to write about, and why?

Author:I am primarily drawn to themes found in Tragedy and genres that explore the deeper, often darker, layers of the human condition, such as psychological fiction or literary realism. I focus on:

Supernatural and External Forces: Exploring how fate, cosmic forces, or unexplained elements influence and crush human effort.

Conflict and Struggle: The conflicts between opposing forces (like love and hate, good and evil, or order and chaos), which reflect the immense struggles individuals face against systems or internal demons.

Psychological and Emotional Themes: I delve into the internal world—madness, grief, betrayal, and isolation—to understand how profound emotional distress shapes a character’s actions and ultimate downfall.

Mortality and Loss: The inevitable decay, the finality of death, and the lasting impact of loss on the survivors.

I prefer these subjects because I believe they allow me to explore the complexity and frailty of human nature, and ultimately, to search for meaning, even in the midst of tragedy and social injustice.

  1. Was there a particular book, author, or incident that influenced your decision to write?

Author:As a student of literature, the author who most profoundly influenced my decision to write is the great tragedian, Thomas Hardy. Specifically, reading his novel, Tess of the d’Urbervilles, with its powerful exploration of fate, social injustice, and suffering, truly inspired me. It made me realize the potential impact of deep storytelling and convinced me to write my own narratives.

Beyond literary works, my greatest influence came from social observations. The candid discussions I had with friends about what was happening in society, and more importantly, the direct witnessing of people suffering—dealing with daily struggles, oppression, and painful incidents like domestic violence and relationship separation—ignited a fierce desire in me to process and reflect those difficult realities through my writing.

  1. What challenges or obstacles have you faced in your writing journey, and how did you overcome them?

Author:I haven’t faced any major external conflicts or obstacles in my writing journey, but the biggest internal challenge has been Writer’s Block. Sometimes, due to stress or mental clutter, the flow of thoughts would completely stop, making it impossible to write.

I overcame this by leaning into my spiritual side. I started practicing meditation, reading sacred texts like the Gita, and listening to spiritual podcasts. This practice helped calm my mind, restore clarity of thought, and reconnect me with my creative energy. This is how I learned to maintain my mental peace and writing flow.

  1. Can you recall a memorable moment or incident related to your writing that deeply impacted you?

Author: I do not have one single memorable moment or incident related to my writing, because the entire process of writing my first novel was, from start to finish, one continuous and deeply impactful experience. The commitment to crafting the story, exploring the complex themes, and seeing the narrative take shape—that whole journey itself stands as the most memorable and significant moment in my writing life.

  1. What message, thought, or emotion do you try to convey through your books or poems?

Author: The main message, thought, and emotion I strive to convey centers on the profound truth that: We come into life alone, and ultimately, we must leave alone—and this realization should be the foundation of our self-reliance. I want to demonstrate that when we become excessively emotionally connected and dependent on others, we surrender the fate of our happiness and individual existence into their hands, often causing us to forget how to even smile when they eventually leave. My writings aim to show people how to break free from this over-dependence and reclaim their emotional sovereignty.

  1. Which of your writings is closest to your heart, and why?

Author: My first novel is the closest to my heart. It is my first major work, and it is where I channeled the raw, urgent concern that initially motivated my writing—the story of a character lost in herself, fearing connection due to the inevitability of separation. Its themes are deeply connected to my personal observations, making it the most meaningful piece I have created so far.

  1. If you had to describe your identity as a writer in one line or belief, what would it be?

Author: While I believe a writer cannot be confined to one line, if I must capture my core belief, it is this: “Writing explores the fundamental fear of loneliness that shapes our humanity and dictates our connection.

  1. How do you see yourself evolving as a writer in the future? Are there any upcoming projects or genres you wish to explore?

Author: My evolution is happening right now with the completion of this first novel. For the immediate future, my focus is on successfully presenting this work of psychological and emotional realism. Looking ahead, I plan to continue exploring deep psychological themes, perhaps within the genres of tragedy or literary fiction, always aiming to shed light on people’s inner suffering and struggles.

  1. What advice or message would you like to give to aspiring writers or readers?

Author: To aspiring writers, my message is: “Write fearlessly.” Do not worry about public approval or whether your themes are too difficult or too raw. Just write the truth you have observed and felt. Your honest story, even as a debut writer, is certain to resonate with someone.
